When I step back and think about it, I still can't quite make myself believe it: the NYT will publish a fake photo of a not-starving Arab child, but they won't publish a real photo of an actually starving, kidnapped Jew. I keep trying to make myself believe that this is taking place in the real world, but I just can't seem to convince myself.
I know I know--the Gray Laydee should make like an onion an' bury her head in shame! (in her gray shroud as the NYSlimes is Dead!). I want my girls ta see the YourUp I knew...loved...I fear that not only is YourUp in free fall but I'm soiten the MooSlums ain't got any desire ta preserve the ahrt, archtecture, hist'ry, & culcha that so enchanted me... I just noticed that I started to write a response to your comment, but never finished it and never sent it. No great loss but I had wanted to let you know that your allusion to the Yiddish curse regarding the onion didn't just sail right by me. In a guided "spiritual" meditation many years ago, we were all invited to listen for that still, small voice that would lead us to higher awareness and spiritual sublimity. It was then that I heard it, clear as a bell: "Zolst vaxen vie un tzibul mit den kop in drerd!" These pithy words have served ever since as a touchstone in my spiritual questing: a directive to grow down and dirty into my roots, and not to be seduced by goyish dreams of purity and transcendence...
Europe will always have a place in my heart, but it's looking ever more doubtful that the Chews will have a place in Europe after the muzzies take over. I'll be going to TLV next month for a long stay to survey the playing field and make some initial sketches for if and when my girls and I need to bail.
